Camasijami Landmark: Seaside Market

The other landmark of Camasijami is the vibrant Camasijami Seaside Market. Built by the coast, it is the main hub of business and trade in Camasijami, where various local goods and services, such as seafood, are bought and sold. Aside from being the center of business, it is also the main port of international trade, where Camasijamians would buy and trade resources from visiting civilizations. While there is activity during the day, the market comes alive at night because of the bright lanterns and even busier atmosphere, especially during special holidays and occasions.

“The Captivating Lights of the Floating Market at Night.” cats on the moon. cats on the moon, May 5, 2013. https://edsmanalo.wordpress.com/2013/05/05/the-captivating-lights-of-the-floating-market-at-night/.

‌

The Camasijami is the only ancient civilization that is still standing today. It has a rich cultural and religious history that is still being passed down and practiced by its civilians for generations. One of the factors that contributed to how this society persisted throughout time is its location.

Located on the northern side of what is known to be present-day Taiwan, Camasijami is near a water source. Being in the coastal areas, this civilization thrived due to trade. It is located near the Taiwan Strait and the Tamsui River which allows trade to occur between the Camasijamians and its neighboring civilizations, both local and international.

Furthermore, Camasijami is also surrounded by mountains. This location gave them the advantage to not be solely sufficient on trade because the mountains allowed them to hunt for food and gather firewood for shelter and heat. Moreover, this is where the shamans have resided since the ancient days and their residence is where the civilization kept their important written documents. Thus, this location helped them preserve their written history despite wars that happened in the lowlands.

“Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf > Scenic Spot Search.” Taiwan.net.tw, 2020. https://eng.taiwan.net.tw/m1.aspx?sNo=0002016&id=4028.

Camasijami Landmark: Bavamoyuma Statue

One landmark of Camasijami is the statue of their Supreme Being Bavamoyuma, a holy site that is situated at the center of the civilization’s lands. The statue was built by the Camasijamians at the command of the elder shamans, for it was believed that Bavamoyuma would heed more prayers and grant good fortune if a statue was built in Their Honour. Thus, Camasijamians would visit the statue every day to offer their worship and to pray for peace, equality, and good fortune. On special occasions, such as birthdays, weddings, and harvest seasons, rituals would be performed by the elder shamans in front of the statue and with the Camasijamians. These rituals range from a dance of worship asking Bavamoyuma for a good harvest and economic growth, to a blessing ceremony for a newlywed couple so that Bavamoyuma may grant them a long, happy marriage.

The Camasijami Civilization greatly values the practice of equality, regardless of physical appearance, gender, social status, etc. Following the teachings of their one true god, Bavamoyuma, the citizens of Camasijami believe that their civilization can thrive by upholding a society that does not tolerate discrimination of any form. This value has been imbued in the nation’s constitution, written by the council and was subsequently presented to and approved by the people through referendum.

Camasijamian society is well known for its friendliness and tight knit communities. It is not uncommon for strangers to greet each other on the street and strike a conversation. Because of the lack of an extensive history of external and internal conflict the Camasijamian people have a positive disposition towards other people and are welcoming to foreigners who visit their land.

A lot of value is placed in the CaMaSiJaMian public spaces as this is where the majority of the Camasijamian people spend their time connecting with each other and taking part in the various forms of recreation.

Most of the Camasijamian people are employed in jobs that serve the community such as healthcare, agriculture, governance, and scientific research. With the mindset of self-sufficiency and service, there are little to no businesses simply oriented toward profit making and exploitation. Because of this, the income gap of the people in Camasijami is very low and there are no social class stratifications. Economically the citizens of Camasijami make use of both currency and trade as it suits their self-sufficient economy. Citizens of Camasijami are taxed based on the amount and what kind of income/produce they make. Free education, healthcare, and transportation is the result of this taxation.

They have a representative democracy where government officials are elected by the people. These officials are officially given the shaman title to honor thousands of years of tradition and keep religion at the core. Their authority is based on their god Bavamoyuma who champions this democratic process. Most disputes about the laws are resolved publicly in consultation with the shamans under the statue of Bavamoyuma.

The Camasijamian people’s language makes use of whistle tones which traditionally was used by the people to communicate across the mountains. This language complete with its writing form is used in everyday conversation, education, and traditional formal gatherings. Because of their educational program, the Camasijamian people are also well versed in several languages of the world to facilitate in their trade, diplomacy, and scientific endeavors

Sources:
DC Team, "Living Mayan History in Belize and Guatemala".

As the Camasijamians came in contact with civilizations across the sea and beyond the mountains, the citizens have resolved to become a self-sufficient nation, refusing to be entirely or mostly dependent on goods and services other nations can offer. With that mindset, the Camasijamians have developed innovative agricultural methods to maintain sufficient crop yield for the citizens’ food source and supply for trade. Taxes collected from the citizens have also been distributed by the direction of the council, who have invested these resources on technological advancements and academic research.

Aletheia University (真理大學), n.d., Photograph, Guide to Taipei, https://guidetotaipei.com/sites/default/files/styles/article/public/images/destination/448/Aletheia-University-2.jpg?itok=AjHsM4gD

THE BELIEF SYSTEM OF CAMASIJAMI

Their primary belief system came into place when an elder shaman dreamt about a supreme being named Bavamoyuma. For thousands of years, the prophecy has been described and passed on to generations that a supreme being named Bavamoyuma would speak to an elder shaman and would guide them towards the greater good. Famine, inequality, and gender discrimination would vanish as long as they would worship Bavamoyuma and follow Their commandments. The elder shaman quickly carved all the commandments and the scripture into different marbles to preserve the knowledge and the insights he was able to attain in his dream. Soon enough, the Word spread like wildfire and was able to reach the whole civilization. The elders suggested mass producing the scripture and handing over the good word to every household. The holy book was then called the Bava. The civilization learned the ways of Bavamoyuma, upholding collectivism and strengthening the family bonds between the Camasijami civilization. Enriching the culture and the beliefs of the Camasijami civilization, they established religious temples to remind the people to worship and give thanks to the supreme being that granted them with abundant fortune and blessings.

Vineyard Perspective. “Ancient Greek Carved into Stone Cracked Stock Photo (Edit Now) 794112853.” Shutterstock.com, 2021. https://www.shutterstock.com/image-pho
