Mangosteen was formed in early September of 2018. It is so strong that HK government stoped education of child those days

As the mangosteen caused serious damage in many districts, the Hong Kong Education Professionals Association said that road traffic still needs time to respond after the storm and the school needs to check the damage of the school building.

 At noon on the 16th, it is recommended that the Education Bureau announce that all schools will be suspended on the following day (17th).

The Education Bureau subsequently announced that all schools would suspend classes the following day. 

A number of tertiary institutions and vocational training boards subsequently announced 
that they would suspend classes on the 17th. 

On the 17th, the Education Association said that more than 40 school buildings in Hong Kong were damaged. It is again recommended to suspend classes in Hong Kong. The Education Bureau immediately announced that it would suspend classes on the 18th.

 After a rare two-day suspension, the Education Bureau announced on the 18th that it would resume classes in Hong Kong on the following day. 

The Education Bureau also mentioned that if individual schools think that it is necessary to suspend classes due to school premises or other reasons, they can ask for advice before making a decision. As of the 20th, there are still 7 schools suspended.
