This type of learning is used with watching something/someone do something and wanting to know how to do that too. The idea is for someone to become puzzled or curious about something, therefore prompting them to learn about it. For example, you may watch someone riding their skateboard on campus and think, "I am going to learn to ride a skateboard as well."

This type of learning is used when trying to achieve a goal. For example, I have a quiz tomorrow so I have studied the materials to better prepare myself for the upcoming quiz.

This type of learning is the most common learning method used in schools. This is when the students are learning the method of solving a problem but they are not actually learning problem solving skills, only the process in which problems may be solved. For example, in a math class, there is only one way to add or subtract. They learning the process of adding or subtracting but they are not learning what makes the numbers bigger or smaller/why.
