A thing that I share similar to the book is my family is somewhat moving a lot but only houses and I stay at the same school.

My family is different from Jeannette and her family what we share is the moving a lot but not place to place only homes.

Throughout the book I've learned that Jeannette never sees anything wrong with her family even when she sees what is wrong its right to her.

Throughout the book Jeannette and her siblings don't really attend any school and don't have any kind of education due the fact that them and their parents are always moving so that can't stay enrolled into a school and stay there for long.

During Christmas Jeanette and her family didn't believe in Santa Claus so instead of them getting present like all of the other kids their parents taught them that Christmas isn't about spending money but instead being with the family and so their father gave them all star for free.

"I never believed in Santa Claus, none of us kids did. Years from now, when all the junk they got is broken and long forgotten, you'll still have your stars." (Walls,41).

This quote stands out to me because it teaches the children the true meaning of Christmas.

4.The author uses personification to represent the Joshua tree. "I thought the Joshua tree was ugly. Mom however, thought it was one of the most beautiful trees she had ever seen.

1. The author had been using the word The Glass Castle many times throughout the story.The effect is that the family wants to make a castle made out of class.

In the beginning of the book Jeannette had visited the hospital and her father forcefully carried her out leaving the building and the only information that is missing is what happened to the doctors and nurse when they saw them leave because they didn't speak of it ever again.

3.People of different ages will not understand what Rex has done in the Green Lantern because that is a part that is targeted for more mature audience

2.During one part of the story Jeannette and her family was in a rush to leave their home due to an incident to go to their grandmas house and they were only able to bring 1 item most of the kids bought toys but for me if I was able to bring 1 item it would be more valuable than toys it would be something useful for the hole family

5.A memory that effects my perceptions of the story is the family is always moving and had not enough money and that is exactly what I remember because my family would move a lot and we also didn't have enough money

One day while Jeannette and her family was at the Owl Club her mother Rose Mary was talking about how she doesn't like to cook because it would take all afternoon to make it but take a hour to eat it all."Why spend all afternoon making a meal that will be gone in a hour." (Walls, 56).This quote stands out to me because it shows that something done perfect will take many hours to finish but take seconds to ruin.

A social issue that Jeannette and her family are having is their issue with money because throughout the story her family all have to suffer from not having any money at all so they can't eat, and if they do have any money her father will take it and buy beer with all of it.

What me and my family have similar to Jeannette and her family is problems with money because we had money but it was many so we usually didn't spend any but unlike Jeannette's family where they had no money at all.

2. Since Jeannette and her family all live in places that don't cost a lot of money they always live in a house that has terrible conditions to live in. In one part they move into a house that charges 50 dollars a month but is in terrible condition, for example they don't have a bathroom they only have a hole and they also don't water if they want any they have to go get some water that is not sanitize.

In the story Jeannette and her family move into a house that is more terrible than the one in Phoenix." Are we ever going home? I ask dad one day. Home? Phoenix. This is home now."I choose this quote because this means that Jeannette's family won't decide to move back to Phoenix and just stay in the terrible home they own now.

Through out the book Jeannette and her family buy a house that isn't in good condition due to the fact they are living in bad condition mostly about them having no running water and they have to get water from near the toilet.

Me and Jeannette share the same thing and that is living in houses that aren't good condition but my houses had everything normal but the inside was just mad for example we only had a shower in one of my house so we had to use a toilet with other people that lived inside the house.

As in the beginning of the page we see that Jeannette misses her old home back in Phoenix and instead of living in her new home she wants to go back. This is personal to me because my family moves a lot and I would miss the old home and want to go back.

As Jeanette and her family and finally owned their own home and just moved into Jeanette wonders if they will ever go back to their old home.

I choose this quote because everything my family moves, I wonder if we will ever go back to the old house.
