I learned about “wall of feelings” from a book; it was described as a release outlet of feelings- all the good and the bad ones, and I think that the times I've used this are my personal experiences of catharsis. The wall of feelings is literally a wall with nails (or pins) stuck to it so one can throw paint-filled balloons towards it. Whenever I feel overwhelming emotions, I take water balloons and fill it with paint and I throw that to the wall of feelings. My most memorable wall of feelings experience was when I almost failed my entrepreneurship final exam which I studied so hard for; I went straight to the wall of feelings to throw the “paint balloons” and right then and there, it did help me calm down. I consider the wall of feelings as a healthy way of coping with overwhelming emotions instead of pouring my feelings out to people which may hurt them.

I do not fully agree with his theory, however, I accept that does does make sense. It is just that for me, the inspiration for an art piece does not necessarily have to exist physically for it to be considered worthy of being “imitated” into art. Some art pieces that I enjoy covey feelings- such as that from artists whose art stem from the emotions that they are feeling in that moment- and I think that it is as good of a piece as those that depict physical reality.

And when I'm usually on a break and trying to relax, I read. But this time, I couldn't concentrate on anything but what was stressing me out. So I took out a canvas and started drawing and painting while listening to music. This calmed me down and helped me relax.

Even looking past that, abstraction in itself builds on subtracting realism from, well, reality, essentially imitating reality in a very unique way.

I have brought this appreciation for 2D art to the present and it has been my therapy ever since.

Personally, I think that the theory of mimesis is true to an extent. It is true in the sense that some art is a mimicry of the environment around us, what we take in in our daily lives and how our minds interpret this input. But I also think that there are some forms of art that, although are inspired by different aspects of the world around us, are purely born out of the creativity and ingenuity of an artist.

Yes, I agree with Plato’s Theory of Mimesis, albeit not entirely. His theory states that all art mimics life; that art aims to resemble our ideas of reality. I believe that art is an expression of ourselves. Our experiences, our beliefs, and our whole sense of self. The things that we love, and the things that we hate. The people we have in our lives, the memories we share with them, the actions that we do everyday; all these serve as inspiration for what we want to express and share with others in the form of art. However, some art also stems from our own imaginations and thinking, so this theory does not apply to all.

I agree with the Plato's Theory of Mimesis as I have noticed that humanity's earlier art was based on life forms with implied ideas. As we go back to ancient Egypt art, they mostly drew animals with human bodies as a reflection of their religion and beliefs. As art evolved into the present, we still see artworks imitating the beauty of nature made by God.

He also expressed that God is the main creator of true forms in life, hence art is just an imitation of those forms. I agree with this notion.

Everyone often describes art as the medium to communicate one's ideas, perception, and imagination. We use art to produce beauty and power by combining our creativity with how we see the real world. In simpler terms, art comes from our ideas. Our ideas, on the other hand, came from our perception of the things in this world. Therefore, art is the fruit of imitating reality combined with our imagination.

Personally, I think that the Theory of Mimesis is somewhat true. There are a lot of contributory outside factors that could be imitated into art; the beauty of life, as cliche as it sounds, is art in itself. However, I do disagree with it to some extent. I believe that something doesn’t have to exist just to be called “art.” There are artists who do abstract art, wherein the meaning is completely subjective and arbitrary. Artists could also produce different forms of art through their own ideas as they create their own worlds through various media.

New technologies might be invented to create a bigger version of a 3D Pen, I have seen videos where people make all sorts of things using a 3D Pen where they draw small bridges on rocks, a mini Eiffel Tower and the like. Wood can also be used as a medium for sculptures and other carving artworks. Using the malleability of metal, making sculptures from it as a medium would require hard work but some dedicated artists can still use it to present their ideas.

The theory states that Art is an imitation of life, meaning that it is inspired from nature, and other life forms. If we look back at several historical art works, many of such are inspired from reality such as the painting of The Last Supper and The Mona Lisa.

Although I somewhat agree with this theory in the way that a lot of artists do take inspiration from real life, I also have to disagree. Plato claimed in his theory that art was just an imitation of real life, and therefore was only an illusion of truth or unreal. Aristotle, in response to it, said that art doesn't just mimic the muse, but adds something more to it, becoming more than just an imitation or an illusion of truth, and I wholeheartedly agree with him. A lot of art is grounded in reality sure, but there's something raw in art that reality can't quite mimic. Take Frida Kahlo's the bus for example, it's a simple imagery we would normally pass by in reality, but in the art, there's something raw and pained to it that draws our attention to it more than the reality does. In other words, for me, art isn't just an imitation of life, it's like a reimagination of it.

I do not completely agree with the theory. Art can be about imitating what you see or the objects or subjects in front of you but, it is so much more than imitation. Art is an avenue in which you can creatively express yourself and your thoughts. And when you imitate something, your thoughts aren't really allowed to flow freely because you'd be thinking about the details of the object you're trying to imitate instead of what you want to portray.

Many of us love to visit amusement parks as a way to unwind and make good memories with the people we love. These good vibes are made possible with the various rides constructed, the energetic staff wearing interesting costumes, and the overall design of the theme park that makes us want to take pictures of. With that, a theme park is a 3D artwork itself

I somehow agree with Plato's "Theory of Mimesis" that art is an imitation of life. I believe that art is a form of expression and since us humans have our life experiences, reflections, and realizations, the art that we often produce mostly relate and reflect our life. However, I also believe that some art works are rooted from things that are not in the surface of real life. There are artworks by artists which are considered indescribable and unexplainable. There are people who view things differently from others and that is something that we have to consider because not all of us have the same perception of the world.
