         <description><![CDATA[<div>Federalists-heir adopted name implied a commitment to a loose, decentralized system of government. In many respects "federalism" — which implies a strong central government — was the opposite of the proposed plan that they supported, supported the constitution.<br>Marshall Court-refers to the Supreme Court of the United States from 1801 to 1835, when John Marshall<strong> </strong>served as the fourth Chief Justice of the United States.<br>Marbury vs. Madison- 5 U.S. 137 (1803), is a landmark case by the United States Supreme Court which forms the basis for the exercise of judicial review in the United States under Article III of the Constitution.<br>Writ of Mandamus- is an order from a court to an inferior government official ordering the government official to properly fulfill their official duties or correct an abuse of discretion. (See, e.g. Cheney v. United States Dist<br>Judicial Review- the principle by which courts can declare acts of either the executive branch or the legislative branch unconstitutional. The Supreme Court has exercised this power, for example, to revoke state laws that denied civil rights guaranteed by the Constitution.</div>]]></description>
