Our book was "A Lesson Before Dying". I looked up different topics like information about the author, information about the time period or the history and derivation of words and names that are used in the book. I also  did researches about execution and death penalty in the United States during the 1940's because it was a current topic in our book. After I researched the different background information I shared them with my group and we were talking about it. It was interesting to see the connections between background topics and things that happened in the book. We used the information the use them to connect it to the other roles.
