To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewers head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existential catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenevs Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Rick & Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid

I found the Carbon Cycle quite useful, especially the visual representation of how carbon is divided between atmosphere, oceans, biomass, etc. as this activity helped put things into perspective. The carbon cycle segment was also very different to other subject units so it was a nice change to have something simple we could go into in depth.

Some things could be tweaked a bit, like the gallery walk. I thought that was a bit of a waste of paper, especially being in Sustainable Futures. But on the other hand, it's good to think about what positions different stakeholders would have towards the proposal.

I think the whole task was fine, but I did all my work out of class because for a lot of the time we had to listen to the presentations which I did found going through as a class not useful at all. We also could have talked about more important aspects, such as the key features and structure of an intertextual essay.

I found this unit quite interesting, especially the titration prac. The assessment piece was also pretty good, the only improvement I can think of is going more in depth into the chemistry concepts during classes with more explanation of how to do the chemical equations and what the significance of the theoretical work is.

I did the majority of my work for Sustainable Futures at home. Although it is useful to listen to the teacher talk, it would also be good to have some time to get started, so we can ask questions if we get stuck or realise we don't fully understand a task.
