Rows is one of the most simplistic classroom arrangement. Rows often utilize rows at an angle. Rows are designed for lecture classrooms. Within rows the students in the front are usually the most engaged and the students in the back are least engaged. Pairs are pair arrangement can be done with desks or tables. Pairs allow the teacher to move from pair to pair. Pairs are great because they control the partner work.
