From my previous experience, these three values have made the most impact on my professional career. Flumerflet & Banachowski (2011) note in their study that communication is often ranked as a top leadership concern. The ability to express thoughts and ideas to different types of followers allows supervisors to be transparent and clear on expectations. 

Humphreys (2013) discusses how collaboration efforts have a positive affect on students when working with multiple stakeholders. It allows students to gain knowledge and expertise from others.

While I still believe this is an important attribute for leadership, it does not always work on others.
