Path's Rough Sleepers Team works with people on the streets of Plymouth, aiming to support them into accommodation.  It also works with those at risk of sleeping rough, preventing them from reaching the street. Path leads on strategic work around rough sleeping with partner agencies, supporting and ensuring coordinated approaches to addressing rough sleeping.

We are working to improve accommodation options for single homeless people in Plymouth. We have created access to several short-term shared houses, and work with people to help them find some stability, and help them to move on after 3-6 months to sustainable, long-term accommodation.

As part of this service, we are also able to offer Starter Packs to clients in need as they take on their tenancies: packs of essential items for those who need it the most, for example, cutlery, crockery, bedding and bed linen. People who need these packs have nothing - they may be fleeing domestic violence, leaving care or supported accommodation, or have lost their belongings through becoming homeless.

Our Plymouth Renting Access Service (PRSS) offers people support to secure private rented accommodation, via referrals from Plymouth City Council.

We assess the client's housing needs, their tenancy history, references and affordability, and aim to help them secure appropriate accommodation. For people needing private rented accommodation, we can potentially offer support and deposit guarantees to help set up tenancies. Our PRAS Service Leaflet has further information.

For Landlords, we can offer tenants who are ready to live independently, tenancy related support including move-in and move-out property inspections with digital photos, help resolving Housing Benefit related issues and more.

BCHA and Path work in partnership to deliver the Housing Information, Signposting and Support Service (HISS) in Plymouth. This service is targeted at single homeless people, especially those with mental health, drugs/alcohol or offending issues.

Plymouth Resettlement Support Service is for people who have come to Plymouth via dispersal or through relevant schemes to settle in the City. It’s a service to help them find stability, join its culture and to discover the opportunities that are open to them. It is delivered by a partnership of 5 local Voluntary Community Sector Organisations with long histories of, and strong commitments to, supporting refugees in Plymouth.

• DCRS  - support for individuals in the asylum system, immigration advice, community activities

• START – housing, benefits, access to health, community activities

• ODILS – ESOL, employability skills, employment mentoring, integration support

• Path – housing, move on and tenancy support

• PDREC – community engagement, awareness raising, benefits support, community activities

Money Advice Plymouth offers you free, independent, impartial and confidential debt advice and assistance on your money matters.

Our complimentary services are aimed at supplying debt advice to those who live mainly within Plymouth with some surrounding areas and currently having debts they require assistance with.
