Yes, it is so warm here, and so little rain, that they study under the mango trees. Also, notice that they take off their shoes when they are in the school. They go bare foot and it is really comfortable to have the cold stone floor against your feet on a hot day.

One of the most important things they do here is meditate. Can you meditate? Try it. Just sit comfortably wherever you are. Close your eyes. Take a deep breath and sit... try it for 30 seconds... for 60 seconds ...for 5 minutes perhaps? You will feel refreshed and ready to continue your day.

Depending on how much money you have and where you live, medical and educational services are offered. But if you live in a remote village, and you have a physical disability, life can be very difficult. In this video, you will see the children who go to this school because the children walk with crutches because the muscles in their legs have not developed properly. Some of the children are deaf, blind or have a mental disability. The founder of this school is in a wheel chair. Take a look at the smiles, love and laughter that was shared with the Canadian students.

Many years ago, when I was in university, I decided to take a few courses in American Sign Language. I was studying to become a language teacher, and I had studied French and Korean, and then I decided that learning to communicate with my hands could be a very useful skill to have - and I was right! Here I am, 23 years after my first Sign Language class, and I am using my skills to communicate with my new friend Padala Ganesh. It was P.Ganesh who showed my students and me where his school was located. If I hadn't started signing with him, we would not have had met the students at the special-needs school.

They also receive fresh milk. This is to ensure that all children who come to this school are benefiting from good wholesome nutrition.

He explained that life could not exist if there were no dance. Dance, he said, is life, and life is dance. We dance throughout all the highs and lows of life, through laughter and tears, anger and happiness.

Everyday after school for one hour, these children are learning traditional Indian dance. From the smiles on their faces, it is indeed an activity they enjoy.
