In a country as big as India, you will find that not all of its people are properly cared for. Depending on how much money you have and where you live, medical and educational services are offered. But if you live in a remote village, and you have a physical disability, life can be very difficult. In this video, you will see the children who go to this school because the children walk with crutches because the muscles in their legs have not developed properly. Some of the children are deaf, blind or have a mental disability. The founder of this school is in a wheel chair. Take a look at the smiles, love and laughter that was shared with the Canadian students.

You can ask us any question about the video.

Many years ago, when I was in university, I decided to take a few courses in American Sign Language. I was studying to become a language teacher, and I had studied French and Korean, and then I decided that learning to communicate with my hands could be a very useful skill to have - and I was right! Here I am, 23 years after my first Sign Language class, and I am using my skills to communicate with my new friend Padala Ganesh. It was P.Ganesh who showed my students and me where his school was located. If I hadn't started signing with him, we would not have had met the students at the special-needs school.

How many languages do you know?

Why do you think it is important to speak more than one language?
