         <description><![CDATA[<div>Born on July 8, 1839 in Richford, New York.  At the age of 14 he relocated with his family to Cleveland, Ohio.  He was always a hard worker, and he got his first real job in an office at the age of 16.  He was hired as an assistant bookkeeper.  He was so successful and good at this job so by the age of 20 he ventured onto a new path and partnered up with a business partner.  His company at the end of its first year had profited $450,000.  Who always refrained from risky situations, and played it safe.  But in the 1860's he sensed a feeling of opportunity in the oil business. Oil production had been increasing in Western Pennsylvania.  So he established an oil refinery near Cleveland, and it world turn out to be a very influencial, and productive business move.   </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Rockefeller and his younger brother William formed the Standard Oil Company that is still running today. It is an American oil producing, transporting, refining, and marketing company.  It was established in the 1870s and was the largest oil refinery in the world of the time.  This business dominated the oil products through vertical integration, and later into vertical integration. The Standard Oil trust increased production, logistics, lowered costs, and undercut competitors.   </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Rockefeller became the wealthiest man and his net worth was 1.5 percent of the country's annual economic output ($280 billion).  He was able to fund and launch the field of biomedical research, funding scientific investigations.  These investigations resulted in vaccines for meningitis, and yellow fever.  He was able to revolutionize medical training in the United States.  He also built China's first proper medical school, and public health schools at John Hopkins at Harvard University.  He promoted the cause of education between sexes, race, or creed. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Rockefeller was not born into a rich family.&nbsp; His father never wanted to work hard, and always found a way out of it.&nbsp; But with guidance by his mother Eliza, she was able to set him on the right course to become one of the most wealthy men in the world.&nbsp; Rockefeller started out in business as a wholesale grocer.  In 1911 the US Supreme Court declared Standard Oil a monopoly under the Sherman Antitrust Act, and it was broken up into 34 independent companies. &nbsp; &nbsp;</div>]]></description>
