We appreciate independence as it is a very helpful trait to have for survival. As well as know the importance of family and the support they bring. We also mentioned how the action of telling us what to do can be obnoxious, but still appreciate it if that action comes from a good place. We keep our families in mind all the time. Moreover, some of us had families from collectivistic countries like China and do have a mix of both individualistic and collectivistic cultures. In a sense, our decisions we take do get influenced in some degree with our family. In our group, we don’t think that we would be able to completely live our lives independently because our family is the people we grew up with however, we still have that sense of independence. However, as we grow up, we learn that we have lives that we want to particularly live.
