Hangzhou is the third city to host the Asian Games in China, after Beijing in1990 and Guangzhou in 2010. 
     Hangzhou was the sole bidder and is the only city to declare the candidacy in August 2015. There will be 53 venues used in the 2022 Asian Games, and 42 of which will be finished constructing at the end of 2021. The Mascots for the 2022 Asian Games will be Cong Cong, Lian Lian, and Chen Chen. The Emblem was decided in January 2018, and it will be "Surging Tides." The Motto will be "Heart to Heart @ Future" (心心相融@未来). Many new campaigns such as "Road to Asian Games" and a series of promotional events will be taking place.
