Our proficiency dropped so we need to pick it up. One way to do this is to have more learning time. One way to do this is to remove recess and use that time for to learn.

I think that the problem of us not doing good in school or the problem of us not doing the work were supposed to do after school is our parents fault. I think its their fault because they don't check up on us on how there supposed to . They think that their kids are doing their work but they need to check up on them because they are not that trustworthy. They need to make sure that they have at least 40 minutes of studying time so that they could be focused during class time instead of zoning out and not knowing what the class is doing. They also are in charge of their kids laziness because if they are always on their device playing video games they will get into the habit of wanting to play video games all day instead of studying or doing their homework.

Instead of only focusing on reading and math, the new school day lets kids learn about many

different subjects. In these schools, kids can learn about:

Music and art

Fun activities

How to understand their feelings and get along with others

All of these things help kids get a well-rounded education. The new school day also makes the

school a better place to learn by:

This new school day

can make big changes in a good way. It can:

Make kids more excited about learning.

Help kids do better in school.

Help kids learn more things.

Make teachers better at their jobs.

Make life easier for parents.

Make kids and neighborhoods safer by stopping things like crime, drug use, teen pregnancy, car

accidents, and spending too much time watching TV or playing video games.

Unstructured play is a category of play without predetermined guidelines. Unstructured play

is often informally referred to as ‘just play’ or ‘letting kids be kids’.

The scientists showed the kids pictures of a child trying to get a toy from another child and a child trying to avoid getting in trouble with his mother. “free play promotes intellectual and cognitive growth, emotional intelligence, and benefits social interactions.” Unstructured recess is good for kids. It could help you become more social and active. You have a free choice to do what you want to do but some kids take advantage to not do nothing at all and just lay down during recess doing no exercise.
