I noticed how they often referred to the children, how we are the future of change. All of them used the words 'our', 'children', that way these words would inflict meaning of unity and how the children are the people that will go up to change the world, and to represent unity and that America is our land. It is yours and mine. In my inaugural poem some of the techniques that I will use is repetition and make the poem very smooth and light-weight along with it including the hardships and what we can make change of. I can use different examples of figurative language.

After reading all the inaugural poems, I noticed that they all tried to inspire the American People, even though they did it in different ways, and they all talked about America, one way or another, and they helped us reflect on what happened in the past, or what could happen in the future, by using past events to help us correct our thinking, or help us do more of those things, to help us become a better nation. In my own inaugural poem, I also want to refer to things like that, using the past to reflect on us today, or using today to help see what's coming in the near future. I want to inspire the audience by making America seem great, but I also want to point out mistakes

I will probably bring up the past of America in my poem. Parts of the past i would bring up is the racial problems we have in america. And comparing the past racist events to the present ones, showing that we havent really changed. But, I know racism is a heavy topic so I want my poem to be the opposite. I wanna symbolize the racial problems in the lightest ways.

A technique I noticed was how the poems incorporated symbols hidden in figurative language. Some of the symbols reflect back on America's negative past. I believe this was to encourage deeper thinking. One technique I will put in my inaugural poem is just that. I want to have in depth/hidden meanings rather than have everything on the surface. I think this will display a unique outlook on America's history, its present, and what is in store for its future.

A lot of descriptive words and words that motivate you do to or feel. It's very interesting seeing what the author's point of view is. personification is an example because they gave "land" or America a pro noun as in she. I am going to use symbolism with personification. How? I will give America a "human" feeling and there is going to be meaning behind the sentences.
