I think in online learning, the access to education must be prioritized so that children will not be left out.

As a teacher, I can do this by encouraging all students to participate and setting rules for the class on how they should treat their classmates (of course, with respect).

- Christine Ann Barbosa

Understand Children's Rights

To find a better way to provide children's rights in an e-learning environment, we must first understand what these children's rights are, as well as what it means to provide child rights education in an e-learning environment. We must empower not only ourselves, but also parents and children to take a stand and understand the importance of human rights and children's right knowledge in order to protect students and have advocacies that will further enhance the system.

Teach and guide students to freedom of speech, a speech that will empower their society to become better, not a speech that will give discrimination and disrespect to others. Make them understand that freedom of speech, in some/any platforms (social media and physical platforms) requires responsibility and power at the same time, they have to think twice and evaluate their thoughts before speaking or entering their comments or thoughts.

Rather than dictating what the students or children can do, give them choices and let them express what they are thinking rather than teaching them, guide them to further understand the what method would be best for them in order to learn, especially in online learning. Ask and think if that would benefit them. Give them warning and provide information that would help them be vigilant and caution to different sites they are entering online and even offline.

THE ACCESS TO EDUCATION

Having an education is one of the basic rights of children regardless of race, color, cognitive level or ethnicity. Through the rights of access to education we are providing this individuals to dream and be successful in the way they wanted to in the future. Through this right we are providing them opportunity to learn regardless of the different hindrances in life. However, as e-learning started due to the pandemic, the access to education is not being provided equally to student. As a future teacher, it really shows that the education system we have now needs to be priorities unlike other laws that have been implemented or planning to implement. We must remember that as a teacher providing a right and conducive education for our student is our top priority and no student or learners should be left behind and create a type of classroom that could boost more students intrinsic motivation to learn.
