Examples of these factors which improves a business would be:
Improved focus on core business activities - With outsourcing, it allows people to free up their business to focus on their strengths. This allows the staff to concentrate on their main tasks and on future strategies.
Increased efficiency - Choosing an outsourcing company which specializes in a certain process or service in which the business wants to carry out will aid the business in achieving a more productive, efficient service, often at a greater quality.
Controlled costs - With outsourcing, cost-savings can be achieved and would allow the business to invest in other areas of the business.
Increased reach - outsourcing can give you access to capabilities and facilities otherwise not accessible or affordable.
Greater competitive advantage - outsourcing can help you leverage knowledge and skills along your complete supply chain.

The most common in the IT industry being call centers, however other industries do outsource for manual labor too. 

The most popular country that companies go to to Geo source is in India, other countries include Bulgaria, Brazil, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Egypt, Hungary, Malaysia, Mexico, Portugal and Vietnam.

Instability - the company which provides outsourcing may go out of business, which in turn may affect your business
