For the structure of my digital strategy, I have used the backbone of the existing GFW strategy. I have then proceeded to innovate and come up with new ideas on how to improve the spine of what they already have as the existing techniques are good yet can be improved. I have analysed, critiqued and improved upon these and was wondering if this is the way to go about it or are we expected to create totally new strategy
with every different component being new idea? As in the marking scheme points towards this yet the brief isn't clear on which way to attack it. So basically, my question is... can we improve upon an existing strategy and innovate or does everything have new?

Thanks.

Answer: You have understood the brief as above. Improve and innovate using the existing strategy. If you wanted to create something entirely new, you could, but this is not necessary. In a professional working strategy, you would rarely start from a blank canvas (unless the project was entirely new) in this case it is not a new project and it needs improvement.
