Epiphany  is a Christian feast day that celebrates the revelation of God incarnate as Jesus Christ.


In Western Christianity, the feast commemorates principally the visit of the Magi to the Christ Child, and thus Jesus physical manifestation to the Gentiles. It is sometimes called Three Kings' Day, and in some traditions celebrated as Little Christmas. Moreover, the feast of the Epiphany, in some denominations, also initiates the liturgical season of Epiphanytide.

    • Procedure
      • We first have to toast the almonds in the oven
      • After we melt the sugar with the lemon juice and honey.
      • We add the almonds to the melted sugar and we put it on a mold.

One day ago from this holiday wealthy people provide food and their needs(like clothes, stationery materials) to the poor and dormitory students. We make our traditional dessert that we called 'Baklava'. 
     When the first day of holiday comes we wear our new clothes. We go to grandparents' or elders' home early. We prepare a perfect breakfast especially for this day all together. Also we kiss elders' hands and they give us allowance&sweets. Then we start to visit our relatives. We kiss their hands too and get allowance&sweets. They offer us 'Baklava' and 'Turkish Tea'. We keep on visit our relatives.
