a. Collaborative Discussion at the end of each story. Students talk in groups and then share whole class.

b. English Language Development Minilessons using the minilessons in small groups.

c. Write a Response at the end of each story. Students learn to cite evidence from the story. Students work in groups. Builds writing stamina and cooperative learning.

a. Can we get the decodable readers in the book room?

b. Can we get vocabulary cards printed and laminated?

a. The stories are more engaging and meaningful. They are interdisciplinary which allows cross curriculum learning.
