In the book hellhounds sound like they are a aggressive black hound, size of a rhino, lava-red eyes, and have fangs like daggers.

Hellhounds are know as standing guard in the underworld. They are a three-headed, dragon-tailed dog. Hellhounds can be pets for other demons.

The Chimera is a bizarre fire-breathing creature. With the body and head of a lion, a goat's head rising from its back, the udders of a goat, and a serpent for a tail.

In the book Hephaestus sounds like a person who likes to trick people and embarrass them.

Hephaestus is the god of fire, metalworking, blacksmith, and volcanoes. He was the son of Hera and Zeus. It is said he has crafted many of the gods' most famous items, including Zeus's thunderbolts.

Arachne (pg 247)

In the book they don't give a lot of information about Arachne but she is Athena enemy.

Arachne dared to challenge the goddess Athena to a weaving contest. Athena worked her loom to depict the gods seated in their glory upon high thrones while Arachne mocked them and Athena turned her into a spider.

In the book the Nereid has flowing black hair, a dress made of green silk. Light flickered around her, and her eyes were so distractingly beautiful.

In the book the Cerberus was twice the size of a woolly mammoth. It was half transparent and only its eyes and teeth looked solid.

A Cerberus was a gigantic, three-headed hound of Hades. The Cerberus guarded the gates of the underworld and prevented the escape of the dead.

Tartarus (pg 305)

In the book Tartarus sounds like a bottom less pit that is pitch dark.

The name was originally used for the deepest region of the world, the lower of the two parts of the underworld, where the gods locked up their enemies. It gradually came to mean the entire underworld.

Kronos (pg 371)

Kronos sounds like someone the gods do not talk about and he was in Chiron's oracle.

Kronos was the King of the Titanes and the god of time, in particular time when viewed as a destructive, all-devouring force.
