OBJECTIVE: You will be researching and presenting a Region of France. The information that you find will be presented in the form of a padlet which you create.

- To create your own padlet, you will need to sign up to use padlet. Once you have completed this, it's easy to get going. Create a new padlet, click anywhere on the back ground, label your wall and begin creating boxes with paraphrased content.

Each box that you create in your padlet should have information pertaining to one particular aspect of the region.

Each source (website/webpage) that you use must be included as a reference in your padlet box. Feel free to create a list of them in one reference posting box, link them to the posts, or list them at the bottom of each posting box.  

ONCE you have completed the padlet, please post your padlet page link in a separate BOX on this padlet page.

(STATE PARAPHRASED MATERIAL PERTAINING TO TOPIC:)

Il y a 22 en France métropole, 5 en outre-mer. Les régions viennent des anciens provinces de France. Les régions ont été crées en 1790 avec la naissance de la France après la Révolution  Française.

Le mot "Région" parle d'un térritoire géographique. Mais il parle aussi d'une identité culturelle. Toutes les régions françaises ont leur propres histoires et cultures.

Maintenant, le gouvernement de France voudrait réformer la carte en créant 13 régions .

La raison pour laquelle il voudrait le faire: "simplifier les structures des collectivités locales, d'économiser les budgets et de clarifier la répartition de leurs compétences et de leurs moyens financiers" .
