In the book A Monster Calls a 13 year old boy named Conor O'Mally was going to bed one night. He was waken by a noise and the noise was someone calling his name. He didn't know who the voice belonged to. When he looked outside his window he saw the yew tree. Why is the yew tree after Conor and what did he do for the tree to be mad at him?

Why did the monster choose the to tell the first story to Connor? I think he chose to tell Connor the first story because the story could tell Connor that he's grandma might not be the bad guy. Connor thinks that his grandma is only there to make things worse for him. But his grandma is only there to help his mom get better. So even though he thinks that she is there to make maters worse she is only trying to help.

Why did Conor's grandmother react the way she did when she found her living room destroyed? I think she knew some like it was going to happen because she knew the Conor didn't like her. She also could have known because that something was going to happen because Conor didn't want to stay at her house. And when his dad come he said that they didn't have room for him at there house. So that might have made him mad and feel like his dad wasn't there for him.

I think that Coners Tale will talk about how it's been since his mom got sick. How people have been treating him. And how people looked at him because of his mom being sick.

How dose each tale reflect Conor's experiences? In tale number one it is telling Conor the people who are bad don't always do the worst things. I tale number one it talks about how people thought this evil queen murdered someone when she did't. In tale number two it tells Conor how people are selfish in more ways then one. In tale number two it talks about how one guy wouldn't give someone the yew tree so he could heal people and when his two daughters got sick and then he was willing to give up the yew tree. In the third tale it tells Coner one way to make people see you again. The third tale talks about how someone made people see him again and then after the tale what Conor was getting told and what he saw was happening it happened in real life .
