We started our day at 8 am waiting in the school library of the Oliver Gran Institute.Our fellow Spanish exchange students were so kind to show us their school with all their classrooms.After our tour through the institute we were put in a random class to experience the average school day of a a spanish student.After spending one hour in one of these classrooms we wnt back to the library to learn Spanish with miss Dolores.Afterwards we left the institute to go on a short 15 minute walk to Casa Natal a Museum to learn about Dalí Salvador's birthplace and life.After that we went back to the institute to eat with our spanish exchange partners.Afterwards we went on another walk towards the Sant Ferrant castle. In Sant Ferrant castle we had a jeep tour around the entire bastion,after that we went into a tunnel that was meant to counter enemies digging under the bastion and afterwards we went into the central water reservoir which was meant to deliver water to the entire bastion.We ended the Castle trip at around 6pm and went into the city for a treasure hunt where we would stay until 9pm.

Today we went to the Spanish school early in the morning. We attended a few classes there. We also had 1 hour where we learned Spanish and played bingo. After that we went to a Dali museum. After an hour and a half we went back to school to have lunch there. On the way there it started to rain heavily. We visited another museum and at the end we did a scavenger hunt in the city. Everyone ate dinner together and then went to our host family.

Today we had to be at school at 8 am so that we wouldn’t miss out on the school tour we got. After the tour, we each had to attend a certain class and participate in the activities. Then we went to the Salvador Dali museum in which we learned about his life. Later, after we got a filling lunch by the schools’ cooks, we visited a fortress. There we got a ride on jeeps and saw almost every angle of the fortress. To finish the day off we had a city game and saw a lot of attractions. Also, Emma and me were part of the team that won and got free smothies.

Today was a very exciting day. Even though it was only our first day here we already feel like we have found a second home. In the morning we went to school with the Spanish people and we had a tour of the school .Then we attended one of the classes. It was either PE, English, Spanish or maths. I got PE and we played some very exciting badminton. After that we went to the Dali museum. It was very different from the other museums, as there was an audio guide which many protector screens showing us Dali’s life. Afterwards we had lunch at the high school. Unfortunately it rained a bit so we got a bit wet. Later we went to a bastion. We drove around in some Jeeps and explored the fortress. Once we had finished the tour, we had a fun city game in Figueres. We had to go around and take selfies of us with famous sights. We had to make a collage with the photos and send it to our teachers. My group sadly only got second place and

as we barely missed first. After we separated from the teachers and are currently having a fun evening in Figueres.

We started our day at 8 a.m. The spanish students showed us their school. After that we were in our class (every 4-6 people had her own class lesson) and after the lesson only the Austrian students had a spanish lesson. When the spanish lesson ended we went to the house of dali. There we had a tour. After the tour we went back to school and waited until the spanish students finished the school then we had together lunch. After lunch we went to the Sant Ferran Castle, we had a tour with a jeep and after the tour we had to do a treasure hunt in the Center of Figueres.

In the morning, we went to school with our exchange students and met the others in the library. A few Spanish pupils showed us around their school and then Elena went to the Spanish class and Sandra to the English class. A Spanish teacher also played a Spanish Bingo with us.

Furthermore, we visited the house where Dalí was born, which is very exciting with electronic effects, and had lunch in the school canteen.

We also walked to Sant Ferran Castle, where we travelled around in three jeeps and looked at everything, such as the water reservoir, where we also went on a small boat. Afterwards we went into the town and played a town game.

It was a fun day :)

Today, we first waited in the school, then we got a tour around the school, which was very nice and comfortable. After the tour, there were groups of four or more and they went to a lesson in the spanish school. When the lesson was finished, we had a little bit of spanish and then we went to the birthplace of dali, which was also very interesting. Then, we went back to the school and ate something there. One hour after we ate, we went to an old castle of figueres, which was in my opinion the best thing today. We drove around with jeeps there and also got into an boat underground, where everything was filled with water. At the end of the day, we had a little scavenger hunt with our spanish people. All in all, I think the day was very good.

On our first day we went to the spanish high school of our exchange students. We got a tour of some of our exchnage students through the school. Afterwards we got seperated and went to different classes for one hour. Some had PE others had spanish and we had maths. Then we had an introduction to the spanish language, learned some basics and played Bingo. After that we went to the Dali Museum. It was great to see the history of the artist and genius. Later we had met with the spanish students and ate lunch in the including cooking school at the highschool. Our exchange students left us again and we went to see the Sant Ferran Castle, which was AMAZINGGG. We took a Jeep to see all the places and it was wow. A couple of times we had left the Jeep to look at the inside of a building or an underground room. We even got onto a little boat in the underground to look at the water storage they had made more than 40 years ago. We loved it and I'm sure we would do it again if we could. After that awesome guided tour we had to go through the city and take pictures of us at certain places to solve a scavenger hunt. In the end we went shopping and got some delicious food.

On Thursday, we met at eight o’clock and got a tour of the school building. Then we spend one lesson in the Spanish and English class. After that we went to the museum of Dali Salvador where we learned about his life and career. For lunch we went back to school and got to eat some Spanish specialties. The food was delicious but we still had to get to the castle we were visiting right after. We took a tour of it with some Jeeps and even got to go underground. There, our tour guide explained some of the castle’s history. After the tour had finished, the students played a game where they had to complete tasks and had to take pictures of themselves. The winners got a price: a smoothie! Even though it was hot and loud, we had a great Time!

In the morning we went to see the school and had 2 lessons.

After that we visisted the museuem of the famous artist Salvador Dalli which was very interesting. There were a lot of interactive experiences that we liked a lot.

Then we ate at the school restaurant, it is very special because they have students that cooked and served the food for us.

After we went up a hill to the Sant Ferran Castle. It was very interesting and we saw the canal system.

Then we had to go threw the city and make pictures for a game.

The whole day was very fun but we were very exhausted after.

In the morning we took the bus to Barcelona where we first visited Park Güell. On the way to Barcelona we saw a woman walking with her pig, which was very funny. Then we visited the old town and looked at important monuments and parks. After that we had about 2 hours free time in which we ate lunch and bought souvenirs. At 5 p.m. we had a tour trough the Sagrada Familia. The cathedral was built very impressiv and was inspired by nature. At 7 p.m. we set off again for Figueres.

Today we visited Barcelona. We started our day at 7:45 to meet up at the school of the spanisch students. Then a bus took us to the capital city of Catalonia.The tour started at Park Güell, which was build in the 20th century. At first it should be a place to live for rich persons in Barcelona,

but they had money problems so they made it an public park. After that we drove in the center of the city. We visited a lot of sights and had some free time to shop, but out of all these things I liked the Sagrada Familia the best. It was just stunning how big this thing is and i can really understand why almost everyone in the world knows this church. So far the best day by far.

Today we drove two hours to Barcelona. At first we visited the beautiful Park Güell where we had good view over the city. After that we went through the city to see some old monuments. At each station the spanish studants told us a little bit of the history surrounding the old buildings. For Lunch we had two hours of free time where we went to eat and shopping. Lastly we had a tour through the Sagrada Famillia who was full of light and had some great sculptures.

Today, we had a trip to Barcelona. We went there by bus, because the city is two and a half hours away from Figueres. First of all we went to the park Guell, where the architecture was pretty nice. There were a lot of colours and a good view. Since we wanted had tour through the center of Barcelona, we drove there by bus. We walked across the city for two hours. Although the plan was really tight, we still had time to spend in the city alone for shopping. After about three hours we met at the Sagrada Familia and got a tour through the church. At the end of the trip we drove back to Figueres and had a nice evening.

Today in the morning we drove to Barcelona. First we went to the Park Güell. We walked around the area and experienced the beautiful nature. We were also able to listen to the beautiful music that some people played there. After the park we drove in the city of Barcelona. The teacher Alex showed us some very interessting places of Barcelona and told us about the history. Then we had a little bit of time off and got some food and afterwards we went shopping. In the afternoon we went to Sagrada Familia where we had a beautiful tour. We learned a lot about the history of the curch. It was very interresting and the inside and outside of the curch is very pretty. After that we went to the bus and drove back home to Figueres. It was a very nice day.

Today we went to Barcelona. We drove two hours until we arrived. Firstly we visited the Park Güell. It is a wonderful and colorful park. From there we had a beautiful view about Barcelona. After that we made a trip through Barcelona by foot, which was guided by the Spanish students. Then we had three hours of free time in Barcelona in which we ate something and went shopping. At the end of the day, we visited the Sagrada Familia with a guide who told us everything about the church and it’s impressive architecture. At 7p.m. we drove back to Figueres and spent the rest of the day with our host families .

Today we went to visit rhe Capital coty pf Catalunya, Barcelona. First of all, we visited the Park Güell. It is a wonderful Park made by Gaudi and has lots of interestikg buildings and structures. Later we went through the city to have a look at some of Barcelonas most popular sights, for example the Arc de Triomf. After our walk through the city we had some freetime to enjoy the barcelonian lifestyle. Last but not least we visited the Sagrada Familia, a gigantic church also made by Gaudi with a bunch of details and wonderful interior design. At the end of the trip we took a Bus back home to Figueres. When we arrived we played street Football. I have not had that much fun playing Football in a long time like this.

After that we went home and got in our comfortable beds, because we have a long day tomorrow.

Today, we traveled to Barcelona by bus because the city is two and a half hours away from Figueres. First thing we did when we came, we visited the park Guell. The park is very colorful and big. Then we went to a center and had free time for 3h and after we met at Sagrada Familia and got a tour through the church. Eventually we drove back home and arrived in Figueres at 20:30.

Hola!

Today was an exciting day, at 07:45 we went off by bus and drove 2 hours to Barcelona. The first thing we did when we arrived in Barcelona, was going to Gűell, a big beautifull park designed from Art Gaudi. We had a really nice view over the city and we took some pictures.

Our next stop was the center of the city, there the spanish teacher showed us arround and we got to see some interresting things like ,,Columbus monument" which is a big statue at the end/edge of the city.

After that we had some free time where we went to burger king and to a souvenier shop where we bought some stuff for our families.

Then we had to walk 40 minutes (uff) to the Sagrada familla, propably the mos beautifull building i will ever see, it was a big cathedral which is still being build (they started in 1882). The architekts name was Art Gaudi.

After visiting the sagrada familla we went back to figueres where we played some football with the other spanish students. I haven't had fun like that whilst playing football in a long time.

This was a great day and we had a lot of fun

Today we went to see a small harbour town which was extremly beautiful.

There we had 3h free time and went hiking on amazing spots, exploring the city and visit the church.

After that we we went to ruins of an ancient greek city. We had a tour guide which was very nice and we learned a lot.

Then we got so see the beach with an amazing sunset.

It was our favourite day so far.

Today was our third day in Spain, which is the halfway mark of the trip. The first thing we did was visit the small harbour town Cadaqués, where we had some free time to explore it. My group hiked around the city and we caught some beautiful views. Later we went through ancient excavation sites that were very interesting. Right after that we proceeded to a beach just next to them and enjoyed the sand and sea for some time. Sadly that was the last thing on our list for today so we drove home by bus.

Today, we met each other at 9 am at school and drove with the bus to the little town Cadaqués, which is at the sea and very very sweet. We had a lot of free time there and vistited a lot of small shops.

Today we drove to Cadaqués. There we had a lot of free time and explored the city. There were a lot of shops such as tourist or ceramic shops, which were great to pass the time. With nearly no money left, we went back to the Meeting Point and drove to our next destination Empúries. There we had a tour trough the ruins of an old small town. Which was really interesting. We learned a lot there. Our next destination was a stunningly beautiful beach where we spend about 2 hours sunbathing and talking. We drove back with the bus and went in the city to eat something.

Today we met at 9 a.m. before school and then we drove with the bus to Cadaques (beautiful city). When we arrived in Cadaques, it was raining. We had there like 3 hours of free walk and we saw many beautiful places there. After Cadaques we drove with the bus to empúries ruins and there we had a good tour. After the tour we had I think 1 and a half hours free time on the beach. It was really nice there! After the beach we drove back to figueres and then we were finished.

Today we went to a nice little town, called Qadaques, which is right next to the sea, it was very nice, especially it’s nature. After that, we looked at exciting archeological sites of Romans and Greeks. Now we went to the beach and played football and relaxed. In the evening we were still eating well. Our day started with us meeting at 9 am in front of the spanish school.We entered the bus and continued on an 1 hour bus journey toward Cadaqués. In Cadaqués we had 3 hours of free time.Some of the Austrian students explored the outskirts of the city while other explored the city or went shopping at 1pm we went on a 1 and a half hour journey toward Empúries ruins.At the ruins we made a small break to eat and then entered the ruins.We explored the remnant city and then went to the beach where we stayed until 18.30 o’clock.After that we went back to figures.

Ivan: I was with my host family on a triathlon to see how it is there. After the triathlon we drove with the car to kart racing and there we had very much fun, after the kart racing we drove to a restaurant called Can Carola and there we had a very good lunch. After the lunch we went to a spanish student and we had really fun there.

Jakov: In the morning we drove with the train to the beach and it was really nice there, after the beach we went to the same spanish student and we also had much fun there.

Today we had an entire day with the host families. The weather was very sunny the entire time, which was nice. In the morning we met up at the train station, so our days were the same, and drove to a beach. We played some ball games and stuck our feet in the cold sea, which was lots of fun. Later we visited Lluc with some other students. We had some amazing lunch there and went swimming in the pool. After that, walked to a park to play some football and basketball.

Today I spend the day with my Host Family. We woke Up at 8 am and drove to Girona. There my Exchange Student Had theatre rehearsels because at the Same day at 12 she had her main Performance. IT was a really good Play about the Future and what influenc knowing about your Future can have at you. After that we went to there Seconds flat in Girona to have Lunch. We also went to Castelló d'empúriea to the beach. It was a beautiful little City with a view ober the sea. In the evening er went Home to Change and eat Dinner. Lastly we went to the house of another Exchange students.

On Sunday we had a lot of free time. I went to the beach with some friends and their exchange students by train. They didn’t even pay our tickets. We didn’t have fun there because the Spains wanted to walk all the time. Some people went in the water. Afterwards we had barbecue at Lluc‘s place.

In the evening we ate some Pizza. The whole day was exhausting and really annoying

Overall the most mediocre day of all.

On Saturday at nine o’clock, the school drove to the beautiful town Cadaqués. We walked around a little bit and then had some free time. Douring our free time our group of four visited some small shops and we all bought bracelets and other items. In the afternoon all the students drove to the Empúries ruins. Our tour guide explained a lot about the ruins. Afterwards we had some free time at the beach and relaxed a litte bit. We collected shells and layed down in the sand. Then we drove home.

Today, we went to an trip to an city next to Figueres called Cadaqués. We were allowed to walk around the city alone and me and my friends made an short trip to an little island. It was definitely the best thing today. After that we went to an greek and roman ancient city and got an guide around it. At the end, we had some free time at the beach and my friend Philipp cut with permission of his hair. It was very funny and it doesnt even look that bad. In the evening, nearly everyone went eating together. The food was very good. All in all it wasa good day.

On our third day we travelled to Cadaqués, which is a beautiful city on the beach. Unluckily, it was raining but it still was impressive. The good thing was that we had a lot of free time for ourselves. Within the two ours we had we went to discover the city, go shopping, buy some souvenirs and take a break at a cafe next to the beach. We visited a magnificient church. After that we visited the Empúries ruins and had a guided tour. Afterwards we went on the beach and spent two beautiful hours in which Philipp cut his hair with the permission of his really kind mother. On the evening we all met up and ate at a really good restaurant on the beach.

Today I went to Port de la Selve where we visited the beach. The weather today was beautiful and I was also able to swim in the sea it was a bit cold. After the beach we went to a restaurant called Cal BG Mariner. It was next to the sea and we had a beautiful view. I ate paella together with my exchange student Marina. It was really good. Then we did a walk at the beach. Afterwards, we went back home and got ready because we went to a pool party at Cecilias house. We also met the other students there. We had a lot of fun . For me it was a very funny and beautiful day with my host family.

Today I was allowed to sleep in a little, which was really relaxing. Sometime after I woke up me and my host family went to the choir concert of my partners sister, which was in Catalan so I couldn’t really understand anything. After that we went to a restaurant to have lunch. We then went to Besalaú, which is a beautiful city near Figueres. We then went home and me and my partner watched a movie.

My Day started at 9am with a nice breakfast. We drove to a small town and went to a cofe shop were i ate some sort of churros with a hot chocolat. After that we went to the beach to relax a bit. We visited other cities and towns and had a delicious meal in a small village called Gartiquella. Then I went to the city with Laura with some friends. We played darts and stuff and had a lot of fun. All in all it was a very nice day.

The day started when I woke up at like 11 o‘clock. The parents from my exchange student wasnt there, because they visited their grandma. In that time, I got myself ready and played games with my exchange student cecilia. At the lunch time, we ate a T-Bone Steak with the family from Cecilia and it was very delicious. In the family, there was her sister, the sisters boyfriend and her grandma, which were all very nice people. After that, Cecilia threw a little poolparty and I watched with Konstantin and Jakob the final Sturm Graz game. They won it and became champions. It was a very funny day and also very chilly.

In the late morning we went to watch two youth football matches, which were very interesting, because Spanish football is one of the best and most advanced in the world. After that, we went to a Spanish restaurant to eat traditional spanish food. Afterwards we were at a pool party of another exchange studen, where we had a lot of fun and also spectated the SK Sturm game. Overall, it was a pretty nice day.

On Sunday Rose, Elena and me were at Mar‘s house to drive to the beach together. There we got to spend some nice time looking at the sea as we were sitting on the warm sand. Later we took the train back to Figueres and went to Lluc‘s home where we got a delicious barbecue. Later we got back home and my host family prepared a typical Spanish dinner for me. Since it was a very exciting but also exhausting day I fell asleep immediately.

Today I could sleep in, which was great. Considering the time I had I was well rested and had a bit of time with their cat, which was resting in my room. Afterwards we had a Barbecue, which was a good way to Experte typical Spanish food. Then we went in the city with some of the other exchange students. As soon as we got to the city we wasted no time and Sandy and I went a bit sightseeing and ate a crepe. Additionally we spend some time with the Spanish people too. Summarized this was a great day and I had a lot of fun.

Hola!

Today we did many things.

The first thing we did was learning a traditional catalan dance, it was a group dance where you have a partner.

Afterwards we drove to Girona and did some sightseeing. The first thing we looked at was a beautifull cathedral, it was pretty big and very nice.

After that we visited a church which was also very nice.

Then we went to a big wall which was pretty long and we walked on top of it.

After that we had 2 hours of free time before we had to get back to the bus to visit the dali museum where you could see his art.

At the end we went to a restaurant called König and ate there.

I think the day was ok.

In the morning we went to school and learned a folk dance. Then we took the bus to Girona, where we visited the old town and a cathedral. We also had free time and ate in a restaurant. Then we took the bus back to Figueres where Spanish students showed us around at the Dali Museum. In the evening we all went to the German restaurant König with the teacher.🤣

Today was a pretty nice day. It all started at the school where we met in the morning to learn a typical spanish dance. Then a bus took as to Girona. We visited a big cathedral which was very cool. I think that was one of the most beautiful churches have ever seen. Then we had some free time to walk trough the city and eat something. After that we drove back to figueres where we visited the Dalí Museum.

His pictures are just stunning. At the end of the day we went to eat at a German restaurant called König, which was quit delicious.

Today we had to be at school at 8 am because we had a Spanish dance lesson. There we learned cool moves and it was a lot of fun. Afterwards we drove to Girona to visit some old churches and buildings as well as walls made from stone. Then we had some free time which we spend with shopping and eating in a café. Since we still wanted to visit the Dali museum we had to drive back to Figueres where the spanish students showed us Dalí’s art. To finish the day off we got invited to the restaurant König to have dinner.

Today we had to be at school at 8 o’clock. In the first lesson we danced a Katalonien dance with our exchange students.

Afterwards we drove to Girona by bus and visited an old town. There we saw the cathedral of Girona and another church. We also had some free time. We got something to eat and bought some presents for our families.

We visited the museum of Dali afterwards and saw some pictures he painted.

In the evening all of us went to the restaurant König and ate there. Then they all drove to McDonalds and ate again.

Today it all started at the school where we met to lern the typical catalan dance. Afterwards we went to Girona there we visited a lot of churches and we also had some free time. Next we went back to Figueres to the Dali Museum. At the end we went to eat at the german restaurant König.

Day 5

Today was our last full day in Spain. In the morning we drove to Girona to see the cathredal and the beautiful old city. Later er had some free time, where we went to go get something to eat. We also went in our free time to some shops and explored the small streets of Girona. Afterwards we drove back to the hometown Figueres and visited the Dali Museum. It was a rather strange and unique experience, because Dali had so many different surrealist visions and ideas. Then we went to a Restaurant and ate something. In the evening, after the program by the school was done, we didn‘t do much anymore. Overall, it was a pretty nice day.

Today we went to the beautiful city Girona. Firstly we visited two churches.Then we made a trip through the city in which we saw the most important places . After that we had a little bit of free time in which we ate something and explored the city. Then we drove back home. Back in Figueres, we visited the Dali museum. One of the exchange students told us everything we needed to know about the most important Artworks. Afterwards we went to eat something with all the people and teachers. It was a good last day and we had lots of fun.
