We have a bunch of misconceptions here in Hawaii like: we always have amazing weather, we all surf, live in grass huts, everyone is native Hawaiian, always at the beach, and many others.  None of these are totally true.  We do have great weather sometimes but others it is really hot with no wind, super cold winds, and rainy weather that gives us flash flood warning.  We do have a lot of surfers and many daily beach-goers but it definitely doesn't apply to all of us. We definitely do not live in grass huts, in fact I live in a big condo with 45 floors. Finally, we are not all native Hawaiian, we do live in Hawaii, but not all of us have the blood of King Kamehameha in us or anything. Some of us are Tahitian, Samoan, or other ethnicity like that but not all Hawaiian.. I’m sorry. I was sick last week. We get alot  of misconceptions here as well like it’s always snowing and always cold, we have polar bears and moose roaming around, we hunt squirrels and live in igloos. Another one that really bugs me is that people think that we live in an uncivilized country and that ( this one is ridiculous) we don’t have Wendy’s. I have gone to the states several times and several people have talked about this great food place similar to McDonald’s and it’s called Wendy’s. I don’t say anything cuz I don’t want to get into a fight. I have a Wendy’s 2 minutes from my house and in the summer ( when it’s warm and there is no snow) I walk with my family and we go eat. Is there anything that you don’t know about Canada and want to know?

I guess some misconceptions I could have of Canada is that your national sport is hockey (ours isn't football surprisingly) but I just looked it up and it's actually lacrosse! If that's incorrect though let my know. Is there a lot of crime in Canada? Another misconception is that you're all nice but I was just thinking that maybe your crime levels are lower than ours? We've had 18 school shootings just this year which is really upsetting, and I think Canada has much stricter gun laws. What is your favorite color? My March break was really fun but not super relaxing because I was cast in a short film that was shooting all week. My only days off were the first weekend, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. I was the lead character in the film. It is a student film. That means for a student in university, they were given a project and they had to create a film. Several other kids auditioned. It was a REALLY fun experience.
