Of the 30 respondents, 77.3% shared they were unsure or agreed to strongly agree with an increase of feelings of uneasiness and worry. It is reasonable to conclude that feelings of uneasiness and worry did increase during quarantine caused by COVID-19.

More than half (64.5%) of the respondents surveyed were aware or strongly aware that there may be a relationship between the withdrawal of social interaction and an increase in suicide rates among college students during the quarantine caused by COVID-19. Interestingly, only 33% were aware of an increase in talking about an increase in suicide rates.

Having to conduct a research project was difficult to do in eight weeks, but was beneficial to my academic career. It was interesting to have to perform this non-experimental study at an associate's level to get a better understanding of what is to come in the future. I do wish I had more time and more respondents as well. The survey software used only allowed 40 responses for the free version accessible to me. It would have been interesting to see how big of an impact the quarantine due to COVID-19 had on the mental health of college students.

With this being said, I am also glad I did get a small sample to see how the mental health of college students was impacted by the quarantine caused by COVID-19. Majority of the respondents answered that there was an increase in feelings of sadness, loneliness, uneasiness, and worry. It was interesting to find that not many college students were aware of the rising suicide rates among college students. If a student is struggling with their mental health, I encourage them to reach out to mental health hotlines or somebody they trust who can help them receive the help they deserve.
