As a kid I loved looking through art activity books, and making crafts out of pompoms, colored paper and pipe cleaners. Going to Micheals on the weekends was always the highlight of my week as I found new projects to undertake like embroidery, scrapbooking, mosaics or painting rocks. I still have buckets of crayons, markers, paintbrushes, stickers and other fun craft supplies piled up in the basement.

I took a number of art classes in highschool, including photography, and hand building. I also took a slip casting course at the university I used to attend, as well as a summer workshop class on wheel throwing. I found myself so interested in ceramics that I even bought a mini wheel from five below to use until I was able to sign up for another wheel throwing class. Art is something I can always turn to when I need to clear my mind, or take a moment for myself. I am proud of the artist I am now and cannot wait to watch my work improve as I continue to pursue art.
