Very intriguing read. I could not put this book down for a second. I’ve read Slater’s book “The 51 Bus” which is also amazing.

I think it's a good read if you enjoy a mystery. Interesting perspective of high school students and what matters most when threatened with their deepest secrets being revealed to the whole school.

Absolutely, love this book!!! The language is beautiful and the story has surprise twist. I like the NoVA references. Good to get the perspective of high school students who have strong passions and deep feelings but those aren't known by their peers.

Social Media Cautionary Tale

I have mixed feelings about this book. The story is definitely a powerful, cautionary tale of real high school students and how quickly and unexpectedly what seems like fun on social media can change your life forever, ruin the life you have planned. I think the story is a little dated compared to what is known now about social media. Also think may be better for parents - those of us in high schools dealing with social media already know how awful it can get. Would be curious to hear what students think of this?

If you enjoy One of Us is Lying you will enjoy this book. A similar story but with the next group of kids. You do get to reconnect with previous characters. Overall good read.

So far my favorite - so powerful! I love learning about things I should know but don't about what's happened/happening in the world. Powerful characters facing unbelievable challenges. Even teens sometimes face life and death situations. What do we do to survive at the most basic levels? How do we still hope and believe in a better future? Teens are powerful humans who have the capacity to change the world - that's why I love high school. :)
