This is your final major project! Your last project of the diploma. You will draw on the skills and experience from your previous projects. You will now create your own production; the choice is yours! You will record everything in a Padlet.

1a. Write a proposal for your project using the form here: Click here for form.

1b. Pitch your idea (from your proposal) (2-5mins) to tutors. This can be PowerPoint or similar. Expect to be asked a lot of questions so come prepared. What to include in your pitch click here.

3a. Review a range of research sources to help you develop your project. (Sources can include: films, articles, books, documentaries, interviews, newspapers, magazines, YouTube videos, observations etc...)

3b. In a written report (min 500 words) or audio/ video (2mins) Explain what research you did, why you did that research and how your research has helped you develop your idea for your FMP. You can use screenshots and images, clips too, to help you make your points.

The Final Major Project is the summative unit for the first year of the course. Your overall grade will be assessed on the skills and creativity you demonstrate so it is important you not only use the skills from previous units but improve upon them. You will be doing work for this project in college; however, you are expected to also work in your own time at home with tutor support. This is an individually graded assessment. You come up with your own project. It could be any of the media we’ve created so far on the course or something new for example a podcast. You will work individually; however, you can use other members of the class for crew.
