No, the action was not success. According to Source A, the US embargo surrounding the Cuba and there is a ship representing UN calling US to stop the embargo, after calling, US still did not lift the embargo, we can also see that the power of UN in front of US was limited as the depiction on the size of representatives was different on UN and US. It shows that the calling of action on superpowers by UN was limited and cannot do actual actions. Therefore, the action by the UN was not success.

According to the Source A, the cartoon stated that,’ life the embargo.’ It suggested that the UN’s efforts to mediate were partially ineffective, as the US maintained its blockade during negotiations.

It showed that US failed to fully resolve the embargo, which has led to long-standing hostility between the US and Cuba.

Therefore,the actions did not succeed.

According to Source B, the united nation carry out military intervention to stop the communist aggressor attacking other countries, which is the Republic of Korea. From the source, the UN is trying to stop the aggressor to harm other countries with the help of many other countries, such as USA and France. Which shows that UN is using military intervention to protect the countries being harm.
