In her regular comedic fashion, Park writes another adventure of Junie B. Jones and her trip to Hawaii. She is tasked with keeping up a photo journal and to talk about her experience there by her teacher, but it might not go as well as she hoped. This would be a good book to introduce for pleasure reading.

Amelia Bedelia takes things a little too seriously, and this time she plays ball with a local boy baseball team, and things go awry. They finally do win the game, but not before Amelia takes home plate (literally). This would be a good book to explain the difference between literal meanings and figurative.

Like most of his series, R.L. Stine writes another horror book. This book follows two sisters and their discovery an uncanny dummy that comes to life and causes horror to the unsuspecting sisters. This would be a good book to read during Halloween, and to point out things how the author creates a sense of fear for his readers.

This story follows siblings Jack and Annie and their travels into the fantasy world of Camelot, where they have to help Merlin keep Camelot in existence. 
This book would be a good book to talk about different legends - such as Camelot and King Arthur.

Osborne writes about Jack and Annie as they travel back in time to the night of the tragic sinking of the Titanic. This book would create a good discussion into the the history of the Titanic and the events that followed.
