I like the new wording: "The teacher models and reinforces positive behaviors to promote reflection and recalibration rather than compliance." - Easier said than done 7th period on a Friday let alone all week long. But isn't that a quality we should remember to aspire to exemplify? How do we keep that goal in focus?

A great question for reflection: How does my classroom culture support student development? I think the true spirit of student growth goals is emphasized here and needs to return to the evaluation process. It is seen as a hoop to jump through by too many. Reframing is necessary.

Careful construction of seating arrangements make all the difference in developing a culture of learning. Leaving this to student choice 100% of the time ignores the importance of nurturing individual learners within a shared learning space (yes, even in a senior elective course).

Adding on to my comment for 2c, consistency is a key component to introducing and then maintaining expectations and good habits in the classroom, which will help student maintain a meaningful learning environment.
