         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>1.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The responsibilities of the job and the expectations of the employer.<br>2.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Provide a full health and safety briefing, evacuation plan (in case of an emergency) and recognising what and where hazardous areas within the Dispensary are.&nbsp;</div><div>3.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Some employers own more than one pharmacy.          <title>Induction plan from my workplace and whether it meets the requirements above.</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>New employees do not go through a formal induction period at my workplace.&nbsp; The boss hires the employee and they are expected to get on with the job and do what is needed doing.&nbsp; The job description states skills and experience required and clarifies hours and days of work.&nbsp; There is no probation period. There is not health and safety briefing.&nbsp; Someone would tell the new employee where the toilets are.&nbsp; The staff at my workplace are on individual employment contracts.<br>Our workplace staff is very stable (I have worked with the same 2 pharmacists for 12 years now) so new employees are few.&nbsp; When we did gain a new shop person (our shop manager retired after 9 years), I went out of my way to make her feel comfortable and part of our small team.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Because the team and pharmacy is small, the induction process that happens here is probably just adequate though very informal and is hard to recognise as such.&nbsp; After the Christchurch earthquakes the boss did formalise Health and Safety requirements and a workplace evacuation plan.<br><br></div>]]></description>
