Hypothesis>>

If the light is red, then the leaf will photosynthesize faster. If the light is blue, then the leaf won't photosynthesize as fast.

Method>>

1. Put 300 milliliters of water in a flask.

2. Gently put a 2 inch double impatiens leaf inside the flask of water.

3. Put the flask under a red and blue light.

4. Stick the Vernier into the top of the flask.

5. Record the amount of CO2.

We accept our hypothesis because the data shows that the red light made the leaf photosynthesize faster than the blue light.

Over time, the graph data for the red light shows that the CO2 went from 950 and up to over 1000 but then blue light's data shows that it decreased.

A change that would improve our lab was to have it sit under the lights over night to have higher results than the 1000 CO2 recorded. We could of put saran wrap around the vernier to cover the flask so it would prevent oxygen from escaping.
