Last term we decided to treat the band members during the graduation farewell party, and we had to make a decision on what to buy for them.

We were deciding between ordering bubble tea or pizza. Pizza, which is the traditional choice for party food, was initially our decision. But the problem is, we were not sure if students with food allergies and dietary restrictions, were able to eat any of it. If we order bubble tea, we were sure that everyone can consume it safely.

Furthermore, the seniors told us that members may not want to eat so much between lunch and dinner, so bubble tea was the preferred choice.

A while ago, my family was deciding on whether to spend money on a dog or a car.

We were itching to get a dog, which was a black poodle. However, the black poodle cost at least $4000, excluding the fee of a small license. The car on the other hand, although was even more costly, it can serve as a convenient way of transport for us. Buying food and vet fees for the dog will be costly in the long run. We were sure that we may neglect the dog after awhile, thus we made the decision to buy a car.

Yesterday I was eating dinner with my family, when my dad started to talk about his day. He was telling us about how much work he did and how tired he was. I wasn't really paying attention because I had something else on my mind, and that made him upset.

My dad started to yell at me for not paying attention, saying how rude I was. His unreasonable scolding, which started to annoy my mother and sister who were also eating with us, made me quite angry. However, instead of immediately talking back at him, I contemplated what I should do. I could either yell back at him, which might escalate things more, or, I could just let down my pride and apologise to him.

In the end, I chose to be the bigger person, and apologise. Although I was still quite upset about having to apologise even though I had done nothing wrong, I was proud of myself for controlling my temper.

(above video from youtube not my gameplay) Last month I stumbled across a game called Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB for short). I tried it out and I felt that it was better than Brawl Stars, the previous game that I had played. Before I played it, I felt that MLBB could be more complicated than Brawl Stars, but after trying it out, I felt that the complicity made the game fun. The main objective of the game is to destroy the enemy turrets. In the early game, you need to farm minions or creeps to get gold and buy items to become stronger. After trying MLBB for a day, I felt that I could switch over to main MLBB.

I was deciding between sticking to my original routine, which was the one that I used to compete in the NSG this year, or choosing to learn the same routine as my friends.

Just yesterday, the TXT concert presale was out, and Yanjing and I had to make a decision on which category we should buy. TXT, a boy group of 5 members, was quite popular in Singapore, so we were already prepared that we may be unable to secure the tickets.

Before the presale started, Yanjing and I were deciding which category we should buy. It was a big decision for us since we could not spend so much money on the concert as well. Factors such as the cost, comfort, and view were taken into consideration. Categories 1 and 2 were closest to the stage, however, 1 was standing, meaning that our view may be blocked by other taller people in front, and 2 was very expensive. The view from Category 5 was not ideal, since we could see the performance only from the side.

In the end, we decided that our ideal categories were either 3 or 4. The cost was lower and the view was not bad! However, at the end of the day, we were satisfied with any Category, as being in the stadium while they were performing live was most important to us.

(we managed to get 2 Category 4 tickets!!)

She said that tuition had a lot of benefits, and it would be extremely useful. Hearing this, I asked what subjects there were, and asked if I could attend Chinese tuition. Suddenly, I wondered if i needed science tuition. Then i listed out the pros: that the science tuition would help me learn the proper way of phrasing the answers and the keywords.

Last month, I was scrolling through TikTok, and I came across this lash and brow serum, which is known for giving you fuller and longer lashes. Having Asian lashes and bald eyebrows , I was extremely intrigued as my previous lash serum gave me an eye infection. After searching further, I came across more reviews about this lash serum. Some videos said this was the best and most affordable lash serum on the market, giving them astonishing results in less than 4 weeks. However, there are some chemicals in it, which are not good for your eyelashes , and I got flashbacks from when i had that eye infection. Although the trauma still haunts me, I wanted to give lash serums a second shot, but when I looked into my wallet, I only had 4 dollars and 70 cents to my name, while the lash serum cost a whopping 29 dollars, I took a step back and wondered whether this was actually worth y money. In the end, I am still broke so I'm probably going to get this maybe next week once I have money.

During the June holidays, I signed up for a Chinese debate competition. I had to decide whether I wanted to participate in the formal round of the competition against Hwa Chong Institution and was soon caught in a dilemma. This was because I was not confident in Chinese, which was my third language, and doubted my ability. In the beginning, I thought that I was not as capable as the other participants in the team, and did not believe in myself. However, I realised that I might regret not participating, and decided to step out of my comfort zone to take up Chinese debate. Thus, I was determined to strive for my best and gain valuable experience in order to improve on myself.

After participating in the competition, I realised that I was able to do well despite not being confident in Chinese. Despite having only one month of experience, my team soon became a strong contender in the competition. Ultimately, we did not win as the opposing team had a Secondary 4 debater. However, it was an extremely memorable experience and I will definitely take up Chinese debate again if I have the chance to.

(stella was in the competition with me too!!)

Last month, during the June holidays, I wanted to have a balance of revising on my weaker subjects and doing the stuff I enjoy. I had to make a decision on what to do each day. I was deciding between having more time to play or more time to revise. Since it was the holiday, I was very tempted to just relax everyday as I did not want to study anymore after a tiring first semester. Even though I was tempted to relax and not study, which was what I wanted to do for a long time, I knew that this decision might affect my studies. In the end, I came to a compromise and chose to relax for half a day and study for the other half as I knew it was good for me in the long run.

Life is about choices. The choices we make today, tomorrow, and the day after, eventually become a habit. Over time, our choices will begin to affect our lives, so deciding how to spend our time is a challenging and conflicting process for some.

During the June holidays, having completed all my holiday homework, I was deciding on how I should spend my time between spending my day reading a book on my large, comfy beanbag or studying for the upcoming examinations in term 3. Studying for the upcoming examinations would potentially save me not only a huge amount of regret later on during the term but also countless nights spent burning the midnight oil. On the other hand, plopping on a comfy beanbag with a book in my hands would not only improve my vocabulary word bank and grammar but also make me extremely contented and happy. Additionally, my parents have also been bugging me to pick up a book ever since the start of the new year. While both of options will enable me to improve on my knowledge in one way or another, if I were to choose revising over reading, I would be able to revise subjects which I am more in need of help in, making it more beneficial.

However, being the procrastinator and adrenaline-seeker that I am, I chose to spend my time reading the book instead. The exciting story plot and character interactions delight me more than the amount of joy I knew I would have derived from spending my afternoon studying. Despite knowing the impending regret I would feel later on in about 5 weeks, spending my time reading a book was the preferred option.

Just the other day, I was in a debate with my friend about which book in the Windy Series is better - the first book, Mile High, or the second book, The Right Move.

Well, they are both from the same author, much less the same series, and are both romance books. But they are very different too. And I believe that the first book is better.

The first book, which is about how to be true to yourself as there isn't a need to fake something due to the irrational fear of others not liking you as there will always be people who do and don't, is just so heartwarming to read. Especially with the amazing characters who give life to the story.

However, the second book, which is about learning to trust one another and follow your heart as well as being in the present instead of being tapped in the past, is a fairly good book, with valuable insides but the chemistry between these characters just aren't as good as the first book.

Hence I decided (yes, this debate has not been settled) that the first book is the best book in the series though it might have been a biased decision based on my favorite character being the protagonist of the first book.
