In 1818 Maryland placed taxes on all notes issued by any bank <br>3. The tax was mostly aimed at the 2 bank's branch in Baltimore<br>4. James Mculloch issued these notes which stated no tax has been paid<br>5. The supreme court backed up Hamilton's decision in creating the National Bank. <br> </div>]]></description>
