This book is about Greg Heffley who is a normal kid going into middle school and has to go through all of the horrors of it. Bullies, friends and a couple of weird kids, everything is a huge mess for Greg. I read this when I was in 3rd or 4th grade. This was when I moved from India to the U.S.A. This book really inspired me because it helped me through being in new schools by showing what I should not do. It also helped me by telling me to treasure my friends.

This series is all about Percy Jackson, who is the son of a Greek god. In this series he goes around the country doing quests that could take his or his friends' lives. I read this series when I was 10. I just could not stop myself. If I picked one of the books and finished it, I would want to read the sequel immediately. It had a very strong impact when I was that age because it introduced me to adventure and fiction.

This book is about Paul and his move to Tangerine, Florida. Paul has a problem with his eyes that obliges him to wear glasses. The very thick kind. This makes him a target for bullying, but when he tries out for the school team, it shocks everyone. I read this when I was eleven and in sixth grade when I read this. I was not confident in my abilities in soccer as I moved to the new school. Seeing the other kids play made me nervous and a little voice in my head told me I could never be as good as them. This book taught me to not worry about others thoughts and focus on my own practice. This made me more open towards new people and helped me get rid of my shyness.

This is a series about when fairy tales were dark, and sad. This is when they did not always end in The Knight in Shining Armor comes and saves the princess and its happily ever after. These stories were actually real, not made up like your parent or kindergarten teacher told you. I read this series when I was 11 to 12 years old and going into a new school, AGAIN. This series sparked my interest in dark, gory, and horrifying books. Since then I have always loved dark and sadistic books (Go ahead, call me a sadist).
