The least restrictive environment is the place a student can go and thrive in. This means that there is a classroom where they can interact with. They determine this by the severity of the disability and whether or not that person needs special schooling. This is implemented by putting them in special classes, schooling, or other removal. Through all this, the IEP members assess the student's education and if they are getting the education they deserve and what to do if they are not.
