         <description><![CDATA[<div>It was March 11, 2011 when a very high earthquake caused four distinct accidents at the nuclear power plant in the Japanese city of Fukushima. The  earthquake, measuring 8.9 on the Richter scale, hits Japan. </div><div>The epicenter of the earthquake, located in the open see, generates a tsunami with anomalous waves up to 14 meters high, that pour on the east coast of Japan. Tsunami water damages the electrical cooling systems of the Fukushima nuclear power plant causing explosions in reactors 1 and 3 and overheating of those 2 and 4.</div><div>The Japanese government orders the evacuation of an area of ​​20 km radius around Fukushima, but the situation is more serious than expected and to date not fully stabilized. </div><div>The accident in the Fukushima plant has raised the problem of the safety of atomic plants in world public opinion. Germany and Switzerland, have expressed their intention to abandon, the use of nuclear energy. In Italy, we have decided to abandon 10the nuclear energy  with a popular referendum .</div><div> </div><div> <br><br></div>]]></description>
