How does this relate to where your family comes from?

1. Other austronesian language also have some word that are the same with us.

2. Does this only happen in languages context?

3. My family come from javanese ethic, while dimas from minang, this make our traditional language also have some similar words.

• Statement that's surprising: Austronesian people are the one that taught Indonesian people how to plant rice in wet lands.

• New questions: 1) Does history shaped people or do people shaped the history? 2) From the statement that surprised me, does that mean Indonesia know boat more than farming rice? 3) Where did ancient Indonesian people came from? 4) How Homo sapiens has made and what is the first form?

What we thought was most surprising was that it wasn't the Ancient Indonesians who discovered the idea of a boat but instead the Ancient Egyptians.

The question we have is ; if the Indonesians didn't discover the boat, then from where did they know the idea of a boat is from?

Our family came from different parts of Indonesia but there's a slight chance that our ancestors come from different parts of the world through voyaging.

No statements surprised me at all since We've known and at least learned and understood how our origins came to Indonesia even if we forgot some. We have high dedication and wants in learning history

Now we have some questions, how did those austronesian people developed civilization that's recorded before the interventions of the colonialism or the westerners?

How are such different ethnics from different countries connected by the origins or austronesian people? How did some of their stuff ( such as languages ) manages to stay in such different environments around the world?

It relates with us a lot since Adhi Mom came from Minangkabau and both of our dad and Kenzie's Mom came from Javanese. In their both respective ethnics, they have such different beliefs. Minangkabau uses matrilineal and Javanese uses Patrilineal. Javanese are mostly discipline and loyal, Minangkabau are strong in their mind and their tongue. But we want to know how they correlate with each other from the origin of both respective ethnics.

2. - What was the purpose of the Egyptians crafting a boat?

   - How did the Proto-Austronesian's parent language spread and grow throughout SEA?

   - How does one ethnics create their own language?

3. Enzo and I (Zach) came from different ethnicities. I'm from Batak and Enzo from Minahasa. These statements make us figure out how such different languages of ours could trace back to a single parent language.

1. The statement that surprised us was that Austronesian introduced rice farming to Indonesia using techniques like wet farming cultivation, common on the island of Java. We were also surprised to learn that other farming techniques exist that don't use Austronesian methods, such as dry farming techniques in some area.

2. Now we wonder, what other techniques that we learn from Austronesian. Does Austronesian's people teach us through kindness of their heart or just by coincidence at the market. If our agriculture techniques is from Austronesian, what will happen to Indonesian now if Austronesian teach us all knowledge they have.

3. This statement is certainly very relevant to where and we and our families came from. Azmi come from the island of Java, famous for its rice granaries and vast rice paddies. Some families are closely involved in jobs involving this. This certainly opens up opportunities beyond our roots
