Alex and Violet want to give their mother a gift for Mother's Day. Alex wants to put their money together and buy her a gift; Violet wants to make something for her instead. They cannot agree. Choose either Alex or Violet - what would you do? I chose alex because if I was a parent I'd rather get something that is worth something, is useful and not some stupid and cheap present. I can tell that parents like presets bought in store over presents made by yourself because when I was a kid I made a mother days gift and she didn’t look so happy but last year when I bought a oresent for her she loved it.

Alex and Violet Question:
I’d choose myself.
Since I am violet, I know that my mom is VERY picky and wouldn’t be pleased easily. She wouldn’t like anything we’d have to buy, and would prefer a hand-made gift that we put effort into instead of some store-bought gift that took two minutes to buy. A handmade gift has true value because it’s somethign we made and tried very hard to make it look nice just for her. Personally, my mom likes handmade stuff better than some wrapped dollarma thing. But if Alex really wanted to buy something for her then we would come to a compromise and he could do what he wanted to do and I would do what I know she’d love.

1, Does Danielle help her little sister with math or go play baseball with her friends.

If I was Danielle I would first help my sister, then maybe go play baseball with my friends. You see in real life I am the younger sibling, and I know that there are very few times that as the younger sibling like me would ask for help. Those moments that you spend might be absolutely nothing to the older sibling, but to the younger one it means the world. Like when your in fourth grade and your sister lets say is in eighth, agrees to help you with some new concept that you don't understand. It's literally like "OMG now I get it, that makes s much more sense now. You are a genius". That is how the younger sibling feels after the older one helps them with something(sometimes, sometimes they criticize you on how dumb you are).

The only reason that I'm not failing at school right now is because when I was in like third grade I already knew how to multiply, divide, add, and subtract integers. That was thanks to my wonderful older sister.

Danielle should really help her sister with that multiplication, or that clock/time worksheet, it will make a world of a difference. It can help shape a future scientist that might find the cure for the worlds rarest disease. The difference between a breakthrough and failure, could have been one little measly explanation.

Alex and Violet want to give their mother a gift for Mother's Day. Alex wants to put their money together and buy her a gift; Violet wants to make something for her instead. They cannot agree.

Choose either Alex or Violet - what would you do?

Alex:
I would offer a compromise. We could buy something mom always wanted, but also make her something. Compromising doesn't always work though, so Alex should be prepared for a no. If she says no, Alex could make another deal. Alex could pool their money and buy something, and Violet could make something. In the end, if Violet was so stubborn as to not accept this compromise as well, I would just give in and buy one of those amazing VR cards. Sometimes, one must be the bigger person so something gets done.

Colossians 3:8 But now, put off all such things as anger, rage, malice, slander, abusive language from your mouth.

This verse tells us that we should not be showing our anger on the form of words of hatred. Baseball is a game that can be played another time, but your sister needs her homework for tomorrow. I could just call or text one of the people that are there and tell them I'm going to be late. If they can wait for me that's great, of they cant then I'll just be late. If I get there late i'll wait until they start another game or ill play with them another day.

Psalm from Exodus 17:12
12 When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it.

Danielle's little sister asks for help with her math problems. Danielle was just getting ready to go outside to play baseball with her friends. She is afraid that if she doesn't go now, the other kids will start the game without her.

What would you do if you were?

If I were to be Danielle in this scenario, I might as well waste some time to help my poor, uneducated sister with some work she should of learned during class. If I am aware that she clearly does not understand the questions but, was paying attention in class then I may as will explain to her a simpler way to do the math. If she apparently was fooling around in class and was not focusing on class work than not my fault, let her fail. Maybe, I would help her afterwards because first of all I would get in trouble for not helping her and I might feel somewhat guilty but mostly because I would get in trouble.

Thinking more into the situation, helping my sister instead of playing baseball with friends would be the right decision and what Jesus would like us to do. God sent his son down to earth and here Jesus should us the beatitudes that we started to follow. Guiding us to the open doors of heaven. Going over the beatitudes the one that makes sense with this scenario is "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth" Meaning to be patient, to not get angry and not to only think of yourself. I find that this fits well with this scenario because To teach someone we need to find the patient to sit and teach them, from pass experience I find that it is hard to stay patient. We should not only think of yourself. We could of went outside but instead of doing what we want to do, instead we helped our little sister.

Quoted in the bible in Hebrews 13:16 "And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased." Doing good to others is a sacrifice that reflects Gods expectations Philippians 2:4 "not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others." Not doing what you want to but help others in need is the message stated in this bible verse.

Yes I could miss a game of baseball but I'm not such a fan at playing baseball and there is always next time.
