power
To test power the common way is to do a standing board jump. This will test how much explosive power you can generate in you legs from a neutral position. To take out this test all you need is a tape measure to see how far they have jumped. This is a very cheap test to run because you need one piece of equipment. This is also very reliable as well. The athlete has to stand behind the tape measure so that their feet are in line with 0cm. They will then jump from a standing position, then once they have landed you take the measurement from their heel that is the furthest back. This will be repeated another 2 times. Their best distance is the one you give them. The skills needed for this test is to be able to set up the test correctly and be good at informing people how to do it. The advantages of this test is that it is very easy to test and to see progression. The disadvantages of this test is if you have poor coordination you will struggle.

Agility
To test for agility the best test is the Illinois agility test. This test is based on your ability to change direction as quickly as possible while running. To take out this test you will need a non-slip surface, stopwatch, marking cones and messaging tape. The set up of the test is bellow, you lay out 4 cones 5m by 9.15m with 4 more cones layed out in the middle. You then start in the bottom left corner and sprint straight up then back down to the middle cone. After that you need to change direction by weaving in and out of the 4 middle cones, you go up to the top then back down again. You then finish it by sprinting back up to the top and then down to the bottom again. You then take down how long it took the individual to complete the test. This is a cheap test to run because all you need to buy is the cones. This test will show you how good your agility actually is. For this test the person who runs it needs knowledge of the test, they also need good reaction time.

To test how flexibility of someone you will test them by using the sit and reach test. In this test you sit on the floor with your legs straight touching the floor whilst feet are touching the box. You then reach as far down the box as possible while you keep your legs flat on the floor. This test is not cheap because the sit and reach box is £90 and considering you will test a person for a matter of minutes. The advantages of this test is that its easy to carry around due to the size and weight of the equipment, also this test can be carried out anywhere as long as you have the sit and reach box plus you are on a flat surface. This means it is easily portable. However this disadvantages are if you are different heights results are misleading. To be able to run the test correctly you must have good knowledge of the test it's self.

To test for muscular endurance the cheapest and easies way is to do the one minute push up test. For this test all you need is a flat surface and a timer. This coasts no money at all, to run this test you simply just do as many full push ups as you can in a minute. This will test how much muscular endurance your pectorals, biceps and triceps have. The only skills you need is being able to count and teach a proper press up. To do a proper press up hands shoulder width apart as you go down body must stay straight, then chest must be just off the ground. As the runner of the test you need knowledge of how to do a proper push up. The advantages of this test is that it is really quick to do, plus you can do the test anywhere as long as its a flat surface. also this test does not coast any money. However a disadvantage is people my cheat by doing a fake press up, so you have to make sure they do and you do know how to do a proper press up.

Aerobic endurance is measured in many ways one being the 12 minute cooper run. The two best ways of taking out this test is either on a treadmill or a running track, these will both tell you how far you have ran in the 12 minutes. On this test you run as far as you can for 12 minutes that is all, you could even do this by running around your local area. Depending where you do this test depends on the price, if you do it on a tredmil in the gym then it will coast money, however if you do it in your local area or on a field it will be only coast for the stopwatch and step counter or pedometer. An advantage of this test is that, if you are testing a big group then can all go at once so it will be quicker and its a simple test. However a disadvantage could be if you are testing a lot of people its hard to keep track of everyone. To take out this test you need to k now how the test runs, also you need to know how to work a stop watch.

To test for strength you can use a one rep max test, for this test you will simply see how much the each main muscle can lift. For example bench press - pectorals. The muscles you test will be pectorals, biceps, triceps, shoulders, quads. This will not be a cheap test due to the equipment you will need to use, the best way is to use a gym because they will have all the equipment you need to carry out the tests. This can be a dangerous test if the athletes you are testing don't have the right technique or they don't even know what to do. So as the runner of the test you need to know how to do the lifts correctly, be able to teach them lifts and most importantly be able to spot them whilst they lift. There is no data to say weather the person is poor, average or excellent because everyone is different. so you will test regularly and compare previous results. The advantages of this testing is it can tell you how strong someone is, however a disadvantage is you cannot test a group of people because everyone will be different weight and height, so this will effect the amount they can lift.

To test for body composition the most common way is to use skin fold clippers, these see how much body fat you have in the key muscle areas. you test 3-9 different parts to the body. you then pinch the skin then clip the skin fold clippers on the skin then it tells you how much body fat you have in that area. This test will take 5 to 10 minutes because you have to repeat the test 3 times. This will then tell you if the person needs to loose body fat or not. to carry out this test you need the skin fold clippers, these coast from £10 to £200. For this test you need knowledge of how to take out the test. The advantages of this test is the skinfold clippers are very reliable, this will mean your results will be accurate. Yet the disadvantages are the possible cost because the more expensive the better they are so a disadvantage would be he coast you have to pay.
