3.) Under Vesuvius scientists have detected a tear in the African plate that Mount Vesuvius is located on. This tear allows hear from the earth to rise and put pressure, and we all know that the more pressure there is the more explosive the next eruption will be. 

4.) Mount Vesuvius is actually two volcanoes. While Mount Vesuvius is the main vent, there is another mountain attached to it called Monte Somma.
