Mutant parents
It is stated that if one or either both of the parents are mutants, then mutant birth is  guaranteed. "Mutates were more likely to give birth to mutant children, or that the abilities transmitted by their parents made those children mutants because they were born with those abilities." I chose this quote because I feel as it can relate to the story of the X-men quite well. In most cases, the X-men are outlasted by society as they are clearly not normal. At first glance, this quote might be confusing however, if you know the back ground as to how the X-men were created it starts to make sense. In the video, Stan Lee says that he did not want to give the X-men a backstory and that they were extreme. That is why they are called the X-men. At the time, super heroes were in their early stages and not everyone would know what a mutant is.
