I understand that plants need energy from the Sun for growing so if there were no Sun energy plants wouden't grow up and a forest will became a desert.
I also understand that plants and all living and non living things are made of matter, so without matter the earth will became an inhabitated planet, no... there would be no planet! so that's why energy and matter are so important
