It entails understanding not only one's desires and opinions but also those of others. 

To add, another crucial aspect of having effective communication skills that I have learnt along the way is being adaptable to different communication situations and styles. 

I was given numerous assignments to work on over a nine months period, and I developed a variety of soft skills along the way - critical thinking, active listening, negotiation and personation. It thus enabled me to develop many hard skills such as skimming, analysing, and evaluating, all of which is beneficial for me to learn how to summarise information. 

With the help of the tutors in UBIC, I am able to better understand how summarising and skimming skills are done and applied in the future.

Living independently for nearly a year and handling problems without the support of parents or other family members forces me to be more resilient on my own. 

One of the most incredible parts of studying abroad is the opportunity to make many new friends from all over the country.  I forged many friendships that are closely knitted that I call family. 

Studying abroad has made me look at everything and everyone in my life through a different lens. There are times that I would really miss home so much.

Not only that, but I also learned how to better manage my mental and physical health. At UBIC, I also learnt to be more independent by asking academic tutors whenever I need help. Some activities include cleaning the school library, organic gardening at the school rooftop garden and distributing fruits to the residents living in the neighbourhood. -the second kind of eye test that was performed on those elderlies was Fundus photography. The use of fundus photography is to take photos of the image of the retina. It is important for diagnosing and treating various posterior segments and other ocular diseases

Back when I was in secondary school days, I remember an instance where I fell and fractured my leg that I was so afraid that I was not able to walk ever again. The healing was slow, inconvenient, and painful, and I look forward to the day when I could remove my cast and resume
my daily tasks. 

I recalled I had to undergo months of Physiotherapy before I was able to walk and swim again. It was then I developed an interest in physiotherapy, where I realized I could also help
others to recover confidently too.
