Science Experiment: Oobleck

I really enjoyed our science lecture about Oobleck, so during the holidays I have decided to show the kids that I babysit and see what their reactions to Oobleck would be. Being a non-Newtonian substance playing with the Oobleck really challenged their knowledge and understanding of science and substances. I believe that it would be a great interactive activity for students, and will defiantly be adding it to what will be my future teaching folder.

Quote

This quote has long been one of my favourites and find that I draw great inspiration from it in times of doubt or uncertainty. I also strongly believe that it relates well to the environment that we as potential teachers should strive to achieve within our practice and the educational environment that we will try and provide for students.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us most. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and famous?' Actually, who are you not to be? "

Maryanne Williamson, 1994
