As a member of society we have to accept that at some point we are going to have to give up rights. It is acceptable to limit people’s liberties when it comes to war because if ther was no government putting this in place then everyone would assume they had some right of power and strength in the war and society.

My knowledge on the limiting of civil liberties during wartime is limited. However, the knowledge I do have includes the sedition act, as well as the Japanese internment during WWII. Using these as a basis for my opinion, I will say that these were definitely past the acceptable extent of limits put on civil liberties. The Sedition Act of

The repression of civil liberties during World War 1 were not justified. For example, the Espionage Act violated the 1st Amendment, which guarantees free speech. During wartime, I feel that some limitation of civil liberties is necessary to mobilize the nation. When the whole nation is in danger, the government must use its power to encourage people to help the nation, such as rationing food.

I think that limiting a person's freedom during wartime is fair because the government is just trying to keep the people in their country safe but it should never infringe on a person's rights. There are ways to limit freedom without limiting rights themselves.

I believe that a government is able to limit certain liberties in wartime if it is for both the protection of the country and the individual. It is not justified for a government to take away certain rights and personal freedoms during times of war that make a person feel unsafe in their own country - the government must balance the needs of the nation as a whole with the fundamental rights of its citizens.

I think that depending on the time of war it is somewhat acceptable to limit citizens to their liberties. I think that the citizens should understand and follow the rules of their country while in wartime. For instance citizens of the United States are not allowed to travel to certain countries including North Korea.
